It all started when Duncan and Breana met at their friends' combined bachelor and bachelorette weekend.

With some help from close friends and Bre’s cousin (shoutout Drew, Cat & Lauren), Duncan finally told Bre how he felt the night before she moved across the country, from DC to Denver.

Why settle for dinner and a movie when your first date can be a wedding? Thanks, Patt and Nick. (And yes, this is somehow the only decent photo we got that day.)

Duncan asked Bre to be his girlfriend while she joined him on a work trip in St. Petersburg, FL.

Duncan and Bre officially entered their long-distance chapter, making frequent trips between DC, Denver, and plenty of places in between.

Long distance became even longer when Duncan completed two overseas Navy deployments. Deep conversations, shared music, and daily latte pictures kept them close.

Duncan moved in with Bre in Denver, where their novice snowboarding era officially began.

Duncan and Bre buy their first home in Superior, Colorado, surrounded by running trails and beautiful wildlife.

Bre and Duncan adopted their dog, Nelly, through a local prison rehabilitation program.

While traveling in Italy with Bre’s family, Duncan planned the perfect proposal in the hills of Santa Margherita Ligure, overlooking the sea.

From hiking and trail running to snowboarding and nights at Red Rocks, Colorado has been unforgettable for Duncan and Bre. In July, they’ll begin a new chapter in Redwood City, California — where Duncan will attend medical school at Stanford and Bre will further her tech career in San Francisco.
